The anthropologist and performer Grace Nwoke, in collaboration with the pedagogical group Skasiarcheio, gave Afrofitness classes to primary school children of different origins in a public space, at the fountain of Fokionos Negri in Kypseli: the neighborhood that hosts the largest part of the African Community in Athens and welcomes the most refugees from Africa every day. An action was organized with the group around the fountain with activities for children and book exchange with the aim of gradually creating an open lending library. Afrofitness is a method of dance, fitness and communication developed in recent years by Grace Nwoke with the Bantu Dancers combining traditional African dance movements to contemporary afrobeat music creating an innovative kind of dance fitness.
