14th & 15th February 2026, YellowSquare Athens, Athens, Greece
Members of the ongoing project the AfroGreeks and the Døcumatism collective actively participated in the SoulArt: No End Edition 5 Year Anniversary
The Døcumatism collective and its members took part through a series of actions and artistic interventions in the two-day festival SoulArt: No End Edition – 5 Year Anniversary, a multimedia action featuring film screenings, a video installation, workshops, and dance battles. The action brought together street artists from across Greece and Europe, members of the African diaspora in Athens, and artists of diverse backgrounds who have chosen to live in Athens.
SoulArt: No End Edition is a multidisciplinary initiative that combines dance battles, educational workshops, artistic interventions, documentary screenings and video installations, creating an open space for interactive exchanges between art, education, and contemporary culture.
This action was organized by SoulArt in collaboration with the No End Collective, the Kypseli-based collective Døcumatism, the ongoing collective project the AfroGreeks and the support of the Greek Forum of Migrants. It was hosted at YellowSquare Athens, a venue that actively supports contemporary artistic creation, providing the space and its support for the realization of the event.
The choice of the venue and the adjacent Theatrou Square was central to the action, positioning it as a critical artistic intervention into the ongoing gentrification of Athens. All activities took place opposite the historic building erected in 1932 on Theatrou Square and Menandrou Street. Until recently, the building housed the Diplareios School, providing free education and training in the applied arts. It is now being redeveloped into a hotel by a major international hotel chain. The Dance Battles took place on the rooftop, with an unobstructed view of the building, which is now concealed behind tall fences restricting access to it.
This year’s event SoulArt: No End Edition – Five Year Anniversary carried one more special symbolism, as it celebrated five years of continuous artistic, social and cultural activity by the No End Collective, as well as of nine years of continuous presence and contribution of SoulArt in the fields of street dance, education and communal creation. The event did not have only a competitive or educational function, but was also a gathering of people, stories and bodies that share common values centered around movement, expression and social dialogue.
